Mount Rinjani National Park is closed annually from January to March due to heavy monsoon rains and to allow the ecosystem to recover. The 2026 trekking season officially opens on April 1st!

• April to May: The landscape is incredibly lush and green right after the rainy season. This is a highly recommended time to witness the savannahs at their best.
• June to August: The peak season. Expect dry weather, clear skies, and spectacular sunrise views, though the trails can become quite dusty.
• September to December: Still great for trekking, but expect occasional afternoon showers as the wet season approaches.
