This trip is open daily all year round! It does not follow the Mount Rinjani National Park closure periods. It operates legally under the policies of Teres Genit village in Senaru, Bayan, with official permits from the local village government.
Hiking and camping at the Crater Rim Stampol (2,450 meters above sea level) is the perfect adventure for beginner hikers, families, or as an alternative trek when the main trails to Mount Rinjani are closed due to weather or seasonal restrictions.
Trekking Itinerary
Day 1: Senaru Village to Stampol Rim
- Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Senaru Village.
- Register at the local village office of Teres Genit.
- Begin the hike through the dense, shady tropical rainforest.
- Lunch will be prepared by our porters midway through the forest trail.
- Arrive at Crater Rim Stampol (2,450m) in the late afternoon to set up camp and enjoy the sunset.
Day 2: Sunrise and Descent
- Wake up early to enjoy the crisp morning air and a beautiful sunrise overlooking the valley.
- Enjoy a hot breakfast prepared by the team.
- Pack up and begin a relaxed descent back through the rainforest to Senaru.
- Arrive at Senaru Village around lunchtime and transfer to your next destination.
