You will ascend via the Sembalun route, known for its breathtaking rolling savannahs and direct path to the crater rim.
Experience a spectacular sunset from your campsite at the edge of the crater, followed by an adrenaline-pumping midnight push to the summit for an epic sunrise. Throughout this intense journey, our professional team will fuel you with freshly cooked, highly nutritious meals while strictly maintaining a 100% Zero-Waste trekking policy.
Detailed Trekking Itinerary
Day 1: The Savannah Ascent & Crater Rim
Sembalun Village (1,100m) ➔ Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m) | ⏱️ Est. Trekking: 7-8 hours
- Following an early pickup and breakfast, we head to Sembalun Village for the official National Park registration.
- Begin the hike through the beautiful, exposed rolling savannahs (bring your sunblock!).
- Stop at POS 2 or POS 3 where our porters will serve a delicious, freshly cooked hot lunch.
- Tackle the famous "Regret Hills" (Bukit Penyesalan), a steep 3-hour ascent to the Sembalun Crater Rim.
- Arrive at the campsite, enjoy a premium hot dinner overlooking Segara Anak Lake from above, and rest early.
Day 2: The Ultimate Summit Push & Descent
Crater Rim ➔ Summit (3,726m) ➔ Sembalun Village (1,100m) | ⏱️ Est. Trekking: 10-12 hours
- Wake up at 2:00 AM for coffee and biscuits. Begin the 3-hour steep and sandy climb to the summit under the stars.
- Reach the 3,726m summit just in time for an awe-inspiring sunrise illuminating the entire island of Lombok.
- Descend back to the Crater Rim campsite. Enjoy a heavy, well-deserved second breakfast to recharge your muscles.
- Pack up camp (ensuring zero waste is left behind) and begin the long descent back down the savannah to Sembalun Village.
- Arrive at the basecamp by mid-afternoon where our transport awaits to drop you off at your next destination.
