Starting from Senaru Village, you will trek through lush tropical rainforests up to the crater rim, where you will spend an unforgettable night camping under the stars.

Senaru Crater Rim offers one of the most spectacular panoramas on the island. Witness a magnificent golden sunset over Mount Agung in Bali, gaze down at the majestic Segara Anak Lake, and watch the active smoke from Mount Baru Jari. Guided by our professional team, you will enjoy fresh, hot meals and excellent camping hospitality along the way.

Day 0: Arrival Day

We provide a complimentary pick-up service from Lombok International Airport or any harbor across Lombok, transferring you directly to your hotel in Senaru Village. In the evening, your professional climbing guide will give you a detailed pre-trek briefing so you are fully prepared for the journey tomorrow.

Detailed Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: Tropical Forest Ascent to Senaru Crater Rim

Senaru Village (601m) ➔ Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m) | ⏱️ Est. Trekking: 6-7 hours

  • Wake up early at 6:30 AM, enjoy a nutritious breakfast at the hotel, and transfer to the Rinjani Trek Center in Senaru for official registration.
  • Begin the trek at 8:00 AM, walking through a beautiful tropical rainforest rich in diverse flora, vibrant birdlife, and wild butterflies.
  • Take a refreshing break at POS 2 Montong Satas (1,500m) for hot tea and biscuits.
  • Continue trekking for another 2 hours to POS 3 (2,000m) to rest and enjoy a freshly prepared hot lunch.
  • After lunch, tackle the final 2-hour ascent up to the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m).
  • Arrive at the campsite by late afternoon to witness a majestic sunset over Mount Agung in Bali and the smoking Baru Jari volcano by the lake. Enjoy a hot dinner and camp overnight.

Day 2: Morning Sunrise & Descent to Senaru Village

Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m) ➔ Senaru Village (601m) | ⏱️ Est. Trekking: 4-5 hours

  • Wake up to an incredible sunrise over the crater rim while our porters serve breakfast and warm drinks.
  • Pack up camp and begin the descent back down to Senaru Village through the lush shade of the tropical forest.
  • Keep an eye out along the trail—if you are lucky, you might spot Lombok's rare black lutung monkeys.
  • Enjoy short rests and a tasty lunch served along the way as you descend.
  • Arrive back at the Senaru basecamp by afternoon, where your private air-conditioned car will be ready to transport you to your next destination in Lombok.
